Job Advertisement: After-School Care for 6 (nearly 7) year old Boy  (2-3 days, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)

We are seeking a caring and reliable personal assistant to provide support to our client , after school. Our client is a funny, delightful and very active child who is autistic, developmentally delayed and needs assistance with daily activities, and we are looking for someone to spend quality time with him and ensure his safety and well-being.

Days/Times Required:

• 2-3 days Monday to Thursday (any combination of these days)
• Hours: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
• More hours available during school holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick up from school (a 10 minute walk)

• Spending time after school, engaging in activities such as:
  • Playing games and outdoor activities (e.g., going to the playground)
  • Doing creative activities (e.g., baking, sticker books)
  • Reading together

• Ensure clients safety at all times as he has limited awareness of danger.
• Assist with personal care, including:
  • Changing nappies
  • Washing and dressing

Requirements:

• Experience working with children essential, experience of working with those who need additional support is preferred 

• No need to drive.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
• A caring individual who can create a fun and engaging environment for the client.

We are open to both male and female carers.

PA Rate: £12.00 per hour.
