Job Opportunity: Support Worker for a 24-Year-Old Client (Flexible Hours)
Location: Petts Wood, Kent

We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to assist a 23-year-old client with autism in developing independent living skills, accessing the community, and engaging in social and leisure activities.

About the Client:

Our client is an active and energetic young woman who enjoys being outdoors and engaging in various activities, including cinema, theatre, swimming, and visiting museums. She loves staying busy and is always keen to take on new experiences. Your support will help her navigate daily tasks, travel independently, and pursue her interests in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Supporting Independent Living Skills: Assist with household tasks, personal care, meal preparation, and general domestic duties both in and out of the home.

·         Community Engagement: Help the client access local activities and venues, including cinema, swimming pools, museums, and theatre. Support with travelling independently using public transport.

·         Volunteering Support: Provide assistance with the client’s volunteering roles, ensuring she can participate and develop her skills.

·         Administrative Support: Aid with any admin tasks, such as organising schedules, managing appointments, and other paperwork.

Hours & Flexibility:

·         Total Hours: 5 to 14 hours per week (flexible)

·         Schedule: To be spread across 2 to 3 days, offering flexibility to suit both your availability and the client's needs.

Ideal Candidate:

·         Experience working with young adults with autism or other learning disabilities.

·         Patient, empathetic, and understanding approach.

·         Ability to promote independence and encourage new skills.

·         A positive and proactive attitude toward helping the client access and enjoy activities.

Comfortable supporting in both home and community settings.

PA Rate: £16.00 per hour
