Position: Support Worker

Schedule: Flexible on days and times, ideally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Location: Home and community-based support

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to assist a 9-year-old child with special educational needs (SEN), challenging behaviour, and epilepsy. The role involves providing home support and care, as well as assisting the child and their mother with accessing community activities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide  care and support to the child in the home environment.
• Assist the child in accessing community activities with their mother.
• Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
• Ensure the child's safety, especially considering their epilepsy and ADHD.

Requirements:

• Experience with SEN and managing challenging behaviour.
• Understanding of ADHD and epilepsy (training can be provided if necessary).
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the child's needs.
• Reliable and punctual.
